Q: Is there a Guarantee on my bed?
A: Yes, this is the best part... You get a Lifetime guarantee against defects in material and workmanship. If anything breaks or goes wrong because of defective material or workmanship, it will be replaced free. See our 'Guarantee'.

Q: Do you have a model bed to look at before I make a decision?
A: Yes, we have a model Paul Bunyan setup at our workshop. Our shop is located in Middleburg Fl, just south of Jacksonville. Just give us a call to setup an appointment (so we can make sure someone is here to greet you).

Q: What is a bunkie board, and why do I need one?
A: Bunkie boards are the flat inserts that sit on top of the bed frame under the mattress to hold the mattress up. We use sheets of MDF(Medium Density Fiberboard) from Home Depot or Lowes and have them cut down to size. The MDF is very smooth, offers more strength than plywood, and doesn't flake off like particle board. We include the bunkie boards with each bed purchase.

Q: How long does it take to build my bed?
A: Small orders (1 or 2 beds) are usually ready for pickup or delivery in a week or two, but during our busy seasons it may take longer. We can give you a more accurate estimate when you first contact us or place your order.

Q: What is the difference between the economy bunk bed, mid-grade bunk bed and a deluxe bunk bed?
A: If your watching your budget and need an inexpensive bed, the economy models will fit your need. Made from mostly 2x4 stock material, we are able to hold down production costs on these beds giving you a good bed for a great value. As an option you can get these beds unfinished if you would like to finish them yourselves.
The mid-grade bunk bed is made of mostly 2x6 stock material. This is our most popular bed giving you a very good bed for a great value. You may also purchase the mid-grade as unfinished.
Our deluxe models include more standard features and are only available finished.

Q: What if I have a low ceiling in the bedroom? Can I get a bunk bed that is made lower?
A: Yes, we can make any of the beds shorter, taller or longer. The Trimline model is a standard 60" tall.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Currently we only accept cash or check. We do request 25% down as a commitment on your part to buy the bed.

Q: Do you offer delivery and set up?
A: Yes we have delievery and setup available or you can pick up your bed from our location in Middleburg Fl (just south of Jacksonville Fl. Delievery only is curbside, Setup generally only takes about 30 minutes. Please see our Delievery Page for further infomation and rates. If you decide to pick up the bed yourself, generally a truck or van would be preferable but many beds have been picked up in a mini-van or SUV also.

Q: I really like the beds. How do I order one?
A: Currently ordering is done by phone or in person. When your ready to order just give us a call (or come by and see us) and tell us what you want. Then with a 25% deposit (balance due on pickup or delievery), we'll get started on your bed. See our 'Process' page for further details.

A: All of our bunk beds are made out of 2x thick spruce or pine whichever we can find the best buy on. This wood is very easy to stain and maintain and is known for it's strength and stablility. Our bed designs have been tested to hold over 400 pounds.

Q: Can you make the bunk bed out of Oak, Cherry or other hardwood?
A: Yes we can but we would need to quote this as a custom bed as the cost of materials would be quite a bit more.

Q: I don't see a ladder. Does it come with one?
A: Our beds have the ladder designed into the head boards. This way you save some space and expense.

Day beds have rails added to the 'back' of the bed to stack pillows agains. And yes we make a Deluxe trundle bed that uses the standard size mattress (rather than a special 'trundle size' mattress which costs more).
